Boston College LB Mark Herzlich beats Cancer/ Ready for the NFL

Update: Mark Herzlich is now 100% Cancer free and according to reports his doctors have said there is only a 3% recurrence rate, which goes down as time passes.

Mark Herzlich earned the 2008 ACC Defensive Player of the Year and was one of the best all-around Linebackers in the country.  Herzlich was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of Bone Cancer, in 2009.  He missed the entire 2009 season while undergoing Chemotherapy.  He returned to the Boston College Eagles in 2010 gaining his strength back and getting back to being one of the top linebackers in the nation, he will now prepare for his next test: The NFL.  Herzlich is currently preparing for the Combine and Boston College’s Pro Day where Scouts will get to see the dominant Linebacker up close and personal.  He’s already a success on and off the football field, now it’s time for Herzlich to bring his talent to the NFL.  Does anyone want to bet against this guy?  I know I don’t.

He sure would look great as the new strong side linebacker for the New York Giants
